I purchased an expensive ($100.00) vintage children's book over the phone from Jolie Anderson. I was told that payment could only be by check, and that if I was not satisfied with the condition of the book, I could return it for a refund. When the book finally arrived (it took three weeks after I mailed the check for her to ship the book), I was not pleased. I called and confirmed that it would be returned, insured and tracked. The book was delivered to Bird's Nest over two months ago, and to date, I have not received a refund. Furthermore, the shop does not answer the phone, and multiple messages have not been returned or responded to. This is larcenous, and very disturbing. Do not purchase from this seller without a credit card or PayPal account. She has stolen my money and taken advantage of my good will and trust. Jolie Anderson is a dishonest business owner and this is a disreputable shop.

Little overpriced (expected), awesome stuff though.
I had come to that place in life where was time to downsize. I have been a bibliophile all of my life so this included reducing 40 years of book collecting. When it was time to sell my books I made the mistake of selecting the Birdsnest thinking I was helping a local business. I took in 41 tightly packed apple boxes of books with many many first additions and other highly collectible books including Doig, Guthrie, Welch and many Montana topics. At least half of the books were very collectible. When I brought them she told me she didn't have time to look at them right away that I would have to wait. No problem. One month went by two months and at six months I came to pick them up. Much to my shock there were only 23 loosely packed boxes left. She had completely high graded my collection! She stole 18 boxes of highly collectible books! I could see my empty boxes in her store room and see some of my best books in her display case as she denied having ever touch them. But with no receipt She was free to smile and say "oh I never had time to look at them". 40 years of book collecting stolen. The woman is a thief and you are a fool do business with her!
Fantastic selection of used books, the owner has a really good knowledge of different titles and authors. Plus she has an awesome friendly golden-retriever that hangs out.
