Love the food. The atmosphere and wait staff were great. It reminds me of the time when you would go to the diner. I will be going back.
I have ate at Ruby's for many years. When I go to Missoula I make sure I stop in and get there breakfasts. My parents have known the owner for 30 plus years. She is the kindest, sweetest and the most generous person you will meet. When I go to restaurants I watch not only my wait staff but the others ones too. This will show you how they are with people they dont know. I have found out that they always treat every customer as family.
We were lucky to catch Ruby's on a quiet day. Normally during the lunch hour you can't find a place to park, let alone a place to sit. The cafe was just as I remembered it from years ago. A forties era lunch counter with comfortable booths scattered throughout the cafe. The service was fast and friendly. The portions were large and well exceeded expectations.
I had an egg/ ham muffin with hash browns. Delicious!!! Best I have ever had. And the hash browns were so good. Fresh with a little crunch. We will be back.
Cool local Diner. The cherry pie was great. I like that they have a quinoa burger made in house.
