I absolutely love the Public Library and I'm flummoxed as to why more people don't use it. Why pay for books when you can get them for free?
There was a Micheal rider or something like that that wrote about the homeless to him I understand that people have their own opinion of homeless people but it is times to set the story straight if you have never been homeless you have no clue because society believe that the homeless is drug addicts and alcoholics we find it hard to get anywhere in life I became homeless because I chose to be homeless rather than being abused by my x husband never done more than coffee and cigarettes yet because of society's belief I have been denied jobs because I live in a shelter it is common to go into the interview do awesome but mention any homeless shelter and watch the reaction especially if you claim you are living in one people donate to the shelters but most items the homeless never even see the staff gets first pick n as for cash they use it to buy office furniture that the homeless never even see except to move it in for them or to hire and give bonuses to staff we eat donated food most of the food is donated by the food banks and we have to get up at 6am no matter what so when you say we over crowd places we do but u know after a while u tend to lose hope that you will never better your self n u only got a few places to go further more I have done a study only 12 percent of all homeless drink and abuse drugs and the majority only started after becoming homeless and never did it before they become homeless maybe people should do there research before dogging us
I love bringing my toddler son to the library as well since they have a nice play area and when I'm not working I bring him to Tiny Tales which he absolutely loves. It's a great way to promote literacy at an early age and he loves all of the songs.
The library has a great selection, and if there is a book you want that they don't have, all you have to do is request it and they are willing to order it.
Always nice and super helpful
Very slow WiFi connection.
(Don't get me wrong, I understand people fall on hard times, I do believe, however, that despite your economic/living situation there are options to maintain clean cloths, good hygiene, limit alcohol consumption in a public place, and maintain some respect for those around you.)
It's pretty dirty and all the seats were taken by the unproductive type of homeless people sleeping and watching Netflix. It honestly kind of felt like a mental hospital.
