Boy I wish I had read the other reviews on this company. I purchased a large machine in Kalispell which had to be removed by a certain date. Otto's had previously looked at the machine and told the auction company that they could rig it. Pat told me he would do it and would put my job on his schedule so I scheduled the deinstaller, trucker and the rigger at the other end.
We had gotten a quote for a crane from one company in Missoula but when we needed to do the project they were unavailable so we called Otto's and they said they could come out and do the job, so I told them to come assuming that the price would be in the ballpark of the other crane service but to our surprise when the job was done they charged us almost three times the cost of the other crane service and demanded payment when done and was very threatening. As a business working with a business terms are usually net-30 but they became threatening and demanded payment. My advise to all, do not use this crane service and if you have to, get it all in writing and be very careful!
My company was contracted to go to Missoula to disassemble an aircraft. We contacted Roger who gave us reasonable quotes on renting a crane. He and Pat delivered the equipment to the job site, and Pat worked his butt off helping out. However, by the time the job was completed, my customer called to tell me how much Otto's had charged for the equipment and services they had provided. The bill was astronomical! I was so apologetic that I had initially recommended Otto's. Basically, it appears we were cheated...big time. I would never use this service again, nor would I recommend them to anyone.
A few days before the move date, I called to confirm everything with Pat. He wouldn't return several calls so I became very worried. I finally contacted Abel Moving and Rigging with just a few days to go. Shawn and his crew showed up on time and did a fantastic job of loading a 10,000 lb beam saw and a very reasonable cost.
Family owned business, really know what they are doing and know how to get the job done. Definitely great people to work with.
