Horrendously maintained equipment with absurd standards and dishonest dispatch. They've been through 3 different safety people one of which told me I didn't need trailer brakes in the middle of winter in Montana.
I recommend that you keep all of your business away from this company and it's horrendous safety rating.
My Ex Husband works for them and he is a very HAPPY CAMPER ...he loves driving and being able to see lots of different places. He never has any problems getting ahold of dispatch. He also is a VERY GOOD DRIVER.
If you take a tour of one of their yards you'll be lucky to see one of the many 20-year year old rustbucket trailers or a shottly rebuilt totaled semi truck from a previous driver.
and takes his job seriously. And yes ive been with him on a run to california and we still are friends. #WATKINS & SHEPARD IS A GREAT TRUCKING COMPANY

Old ass reviews. Shneider has bought them. Watkins-Shepard people are very friendly. Im trying to make money. I like my job. Today in Billings terminal though.... Not so much. Guy was rude and bad mouthed an employee right in front of me and gave me a hard time over what trailer I can pick up. Other than that... Everyone else is very nice. I try to always have a good attitude towards everyone. U will get one back ... Ussually... All in all Portland Shneider Terminal... The Worst evey time i go in or out it is different and difficult. One lady hung up on me when I was at the gate trying to get in to get to my truck and ALL MY Personal Items.... I gave her my number then she rudley asled my name i told it. Then she said that don't match.... Click! Had to call back! It is so uncool. But Watkins-Shepard IS Cool! And I hope they stay that way even though.....
Horrible dispatch manager and company manager they don't care about the drivers. Dispatch manager Steven is a liar. Company Manager Richard shank is unreasonable to talk to. If you have a legitimate complaint about something he will make something up to get off the subject and turn the meeting as if he call the meeting to complain about you. Dispatch like Cindy get away with constantly giving you the wrong address & phone number and management don't care. Management filter the complaints to the owner so he don't know what's going on when the company do conference calls
