Though small, this insectarium was an incredible place to visit. A friend and I spent several hours observing the bugs, and there is even a windowed room to watch feedings and observe the life cycle of butterflies. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and we even had the chance to interact with some of the resident insects, which was incredible and unforgettable!
Super fun place to take the family and kids, more accurately scare the adults and fascinate everyone especially the kids.
The small area is used well here - it feels much larger than it is. The staff love their jobs, telling people all about the insects, spiders, and centipedes here. Some displays change depending on the season, and others are perennial favorites.
Bugs! Watch and learn about tons of different insects and arachnids! Fun events and programs for all ages. Try to stop by for a spider feeding.
Very cool what they're doing there. It's a bit small, essentially the size of your average school classroom, but the staff are friendly and quick to engage, but also leave you alone if you just want to look at the displays. It's excellently designed for children, I'd say around age 2 and up (my 2 year old loved it, especially the butterfly display). It has a lot of potential and with time and sufficient funding I can definitely see it developing into a 5-star experience.
