I am still completely shocked and furious. We entered the bar for an afternoon drink, and I look up to check out the art. I KID YOU NOT there is a HUGE, I'm talking the biggest painting in the whole place, painting of three black men being hung from a support beam in an old rundown barn. This paint is the CENTER PIECE of the whole place right above the dance floor. As if that isn't bad enough, there is an actual noose hanging from the top corner of the painting. Disgusting. I will be sure to never return, and advertise to everyone I know just how repulsive this establishment is.
Live country bands are fun and there is always someone to dance with. The bar is always packed and getting a drink can be difficult, cocktail waitresses help with this. There is a bartender that keeps giving us soda instead of tonic on our G and T, yuck, always happy to fix it but you should know the buttons and the difference. It has a sister bar the dark horse connected that is a biker/karaoke bar with pizza. Although the line looks shorter over there their bartender must be related to a sloth.
Amazing bar, drinks are great and priced greatly as well, great environment for people from all walks of life, if you love dancing, karaoke, live music, amazing people, and Great pizza, this is the place to stop in and grab a cold one!
I was a bit surprised how much I enjoyed this western themed bar. They always have music but I remember them having a cover charge most nights. The night I went there was no cover, the band was good, and the music was at a good level so you could still have conversations with your friends. Really enjoyed it. I hope this is a good trend we see at other bars. I love music but volume levels need to be reasonable.
I support this saloon 100%, and the fact that people are protesting and all pissed off over a painting is OUTRAGEOUS! This political correctness is killing our art and history. IT ISNT RACIST! People were hung regardless of color! If you were a thief, you were a thief. Stop crying and protesting about every damn thing! I've never been to this saloon, but you better believe I will be now after seeing how these evil people are trying to ruin it. You can have whatever art work you want in your establishment. Ill be sure to ring up a big tab and leave a huge tip to support this saloon. Stop ruining this with political correctness garbage!
