Awesome! Great beer, great atmosphere. One of the best in Missoula. They stick to the Reinheitsgebot, the Germany Purity Law of 1516. Their beers are smooth and traditional.
Great beer, food, atmosphere & staff. Edelweiss is the German restaurant upstairs & it's such a great addition to the brewery! The outdoor patio is great to hangout on a nice day. Or if it's a cool day, sit out by the fire
My heart wasn't really in it after learning theu were sold out of ALL of their dark beers. But the location is beautiful and the bartender let me do his Sunday crossword puzzle. I will be back to try a dark beer.
Despite being off a busy street, they have an excellent choice of atmosphere between the bottom floor outside area, bottom floor traditional "bar", top floor balcony, and my favorite, the inside top floor with wonderful large wooden furniture and Steins - plus a view of the brewery facility itself through a window.
Start with Light - Dumptruck/Pilsner, Medium - Dragonsbreath, Darker - Faceplant or Doppelbock.
The first time I went was the same as any brewery - asked for a flight and how many brews came with it. The waitress said "all of them". Immediately I was sold. Of the 10 samples, I finished 9 of them (unfiltered pilsner isn't my thing, the regular pilsner is a thing of wonder). If you like German beers in any fashion ,this is the place in Montana, and probably the Northwest.

We sat and chatted with the tasting room manager and learned a lot about Bayern and other breweries. Great information and it's a brewery we will definitely come back to.
The mustard is also delicious and worth noting.
