Shop around. We called Anderson's when we experienced a catastrophic failure of one of the valves on our hot water heater and it flooded our basement. The first plumber from Anderson's replaced the valve and said he would not guarantee his work unless he also installed an overflow tank. Nearly $400 later the leak was fixed but we were still experiencing hot water shortages which we never ever had before. A second Anderson's guy came out, and charged us another $89 service fee, only to tell us we needed a new tank and he would send an estimator the next day. He charged us $89 and did NO work. We got a second opinion from an experienced, independent (not from Anderson's) plumber who replaced the ZONE VALVE to the water heater. We do not need a new tank. It was the failing zone valve that allowed the temperature and pressure to rise to a level that caused the valve in the hot water heater to fail and flood our home. Replacing the zone valve fixed our issue at a price of $57 for the part and $60 for labor. Both of the Anderson's plumbers missed this! I would not recommend these guys especially if you have a boiler system. And the estimator, Bob, seemed like a good guy but he knew we didn't need a new system so he never got back to us. He knew his two colleagues missed the root of the problem. To top it off, they refused to refund the service fee for the second service call after we explained the situation. Anderson's is not only incompetent, but also dishonest. Take your business elsewhere.
I needed a new hot water heater. They responded immediately. All personell I came into contact with were professional, kind and knew what they were doing. I was mostly impressed with response time. And the new water heater looks and works great. I recommend and will use in the future.
atm missoula has more work for plumbers then it can handle and some ppl dont care if their techs are good or right, they know they are still going to get work anyways. 100% do not stand behind their work.
Anderson's failed to find the source of my problem after sending two different plumbers out (and charging two service charges!). I had a third plumber from another company come and fix the issue for under $100 (parts+labor+service). I asked Anderson's to refund of one of the service call fees, which I thought was a reasonable request considering their failure. They refused. I cannot recommend this company.
3 service charges, paid as much to fix as it would have been to buy a brand new unit, 3 weeks later it breaks again. they want to charge to come look at it again.
Anderson's installed an AC unit for my home about 2 years ago. I recently had some issues with it and had them come look. They fixed the problem but upon asking the technician what was wrong he told me that whoever did the joint work originally did a poor job. Of cours he didn't know it was his own company was who did it. I called the office to let them know I was unhappy that their poor workmanship had caused hundreds of dollars of coolant to leak from my system on top of the cost of the new repair. Office staff was rude and told me that I must have bumped the line and caused it to leak. Just a bit insulting. They will be competitively priced but if their own techs say their work is poor, it will end up costing you more in the long run. Thinks twice about these guys.
