Anyone who works here should feel absolutely ashamed.
A good little local clinic. But LONG wait times to see a doctor. If you need anything more than basic doctor visit exams (like a chest x-ray, etc.) you have to make a 200 mile round trip from Missoula to Helena (over a mountain pass no less). NOT a way to treat people who have defended our country. Local referrals are NOT allowed. They wanted me to drive to Helena for a colonoscopy after drinking high powered laxatives. That is how sad VA care as gotten here.
This location is severely understaffed. I've waited over two months each time for an appointment for a VA doctor. However Michelle in the MH unit saves this entire location, she was a no nonsense straight shooter and really helped me out. She needs to be in a leadership position within the VA. Probably run it better than Shulkin is
Good doctors just have to wait a bit sometimes.
