Let me tell you about my first visit to Wagg'n indoor dog park... Jason greeted me and showed me around. When I entered the daycare the first thing I noticed was the heat. I walked up to an adorable French Bulldog that was lying by the fan. She was sprawled out and panting uncontrollably. I could tell immediately that she was not doing well. Jason and I went back to the office to chat and shortly after an employee notified Jason that the dog threw up 4 times. He brushed it off like it was nothing and the employee went back into the daycare. Then his mother comes out of the daycare and says that the dog has now thrown up 14 times and is pissing her self. He brings her in the office and she continues to throw up and was having a hard time breathing. I told him to bring the dog to the vet. This dog was having a heat stroke! He never brought her to the vet. When I got home I checked the web cam and Jason had put the dog back into the hot daycare. This daycare does NOT have air conditioning!! For the safety of your dog, I would highly recommend going somewhere else.
I really can't say enough about this place so I'll keep it short. You can trust the staff and owners with your dogs. They are friendly and knowledgeable, and have a strong understanding of animal behaviour. My very energetic 78 lb puppy was calmer at Wagg'n than he is with most other dogs he knows, largely because of the way he was introduced to the dogs on his arrival. I felt great knowing he was safe and I could check in on him with the webcams. When we picked him up after two days he was a little reluctant to leave but soon slept for 9 hours straight. Pretty happy dog.
I have been taking my special needs 1.5 year old Aussie/Border Cross for the last three months. My dog was attending another daycare in town earlier this year and I was told that her "behavior" was something they were concerned about and basically kicked her out of daycare. The owner of the other daycare suggested I try "Wagg'n" because they may be a "better fit" for my dog. I ended up taking my dog to the vet because she did display some symptoms that were concerning. The vet determined that my dog was actually very ill and it was NOT a behavior issue; she was diagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus. I called Jason at Wagg'n and he assured me that they would be happy to take her into their daycare and would be mindful of her diagnosis and assist with any medication she may need. She is doing great and thrives at Wagg'n. They make sure she takes breaks. Jason and Rachele both are huge dog lovers and my dog goes crazy when she sees them. There is plenty of room for her to run and she is a very active dog so that is good! If you want to stay and watch you dog interact with other dogs or just have fun with them and their friends, you are welcome too. I recommend Wagg'n if you want a home away from home for your pooch!
What a wonderful place for our dogs, so happy that we found you. Terrific people! Thanks
Hands down most trustworthy place in Missoula. Unfortunately, we can't always take our sweet puppy with us; our 11 month old chocolate lab, Hank, loves his visits here. The place is clean, large and welcoming. Great care! You can even watch your pooch 24/7 on the free webcams- what a fun idea. 5 stars for our friends at Wagg'n.
