This was a good bar. It's almost typical... But I liked it quite a lot. It has a wonderful local vibe. The first time I went someone won a kayak in a raffle! The rhino head is pretty cool in there. You should check this place out while in Missoula, but don't get watermelon margaritas.
The bartender was salty but the collection of scotch was mouth watering. More than made up for the surly bartender. If you're a hipster this is the place for you, you can pay someone to be rude to you and still drink high class scotch in a divey place. I am not a hipster but I do like scotch, because it's delicious. If you complete the Missoula Ale & Distillery Trail you can drink you top shelf scotch out of a free shot glass. So there's that. Maybe he was just having a bad day. Cheer up butter cup :)
One of the best draft beer selections in all of Missoula. Also a great Scotch (especially Peaty Scotch selections).
This place is PACKED Friday and Saturday nights! I like a little bit more elbow room, personally, but they have a GREAT beer selection and knowledgeable staff. If I had more room to move on the weekends I would totally have given 5 stars.
An old haunt when I was living downtown. More beer options than you could want. Good for packing people in like sardines and never getting to play pool. Work on one of the drink around the world games if you hate your liver. Overall one of my favorites.
