So if you want my opinion of Jim Harrison's ability kick ass, and to teach, I'll have to give him 5 stars.
And over the years as I grow older, and encounter angry, threatening bullies, that have a can of " Woop Ass " and are ready to open it on you, I've also found that something long and sharp, will usually set them walking backards too.
I think the first time you get beat up your first reaction is to quit ( kinda like snow sking, once you learn how to stop and turn on a steep slope, it becomes less deadly and more fun )
I learned my 11 blocks, 11 strikes, 11 stances and 11 kicks, and practiced them a thousand times plus, I've burnt off a massive amount of calories sweating in my uniform on the matt.
Yes, I fought Jim Harrison once, and had to wear sunglasses for a week, and lost a WEE bit of blood in the process :)
No stars!! My daughter signed up and did not like it, they said I could cancel if I gave a 1 month notice, and now they will not answer my calls and when my husband finally got through to his wife/bookkeeper she refused to stop deducting money from our account. She stated it's not her fault that our daughter doesn't like it, she signed up for a year and then proceeded to compare it to a car loan. Months later I am still paying for no service. They are not a place you want to associate yourselves with. Oh yeah and they sent one of their outfits home with my daughter without asking us and then sent us an 70.00 bill for it?? It makes me sick that there are people out there still doing business.
It left me more confident to walk down a dark alley. And if you come up behind me, most of the time my hands are on their way out to meet you ( I'm assuming they must be blocks, I haven't hit anyone yet, but get a little aggressive at times )
