They are a for profit orginzation who resales 2nd hand good at unfair prices considering it was all freely given to help community. I donate to Bargine corner and other small groups to truly help whole community.
Basically like any other goodwill. Lots of junk, some decent stuff, dirt cheap. Gives a student discount, which is nice. Not great for plus-sized women clothes, but what is. Plenty of sturdy menswear and lots of candles.
Yay a bigger store, but boo less selection. Also Goodwill thinks they can charge outrageous prices for clothes just because the old school hippie look is in with the university students. Never fails to disappoint when I go to look for little girls dresses- last time there are 4 and they looked like little hooker outfits. You'd think since goodwill is nationwide that they'd send some of their nicer stuff to the stores that don't have it like Deseret industries does (I love that place!). Over all I don't go there for clothing maybe kitchenware etc, but even that's priced too high.
Have a little bit of everything. Weird that very nice furniture is cheaper than a single bed sheet though.
Bought a coat less than 24 hours ago, got it home and realized the zipper was faulty. Tag fell off but had the tag and receipt. Went to the same guy that check me out he day before and would not honor it. I'm so sick of the high prices and now this happened. Really upset!!!
