I went in for my yearly exam, she was honest, didn't candy coat anything and was absolutely amazing!! I'll definitely be seeing her again
She is the most amazing OB/GYN I have ever experienced. After a somewhat scary first IUD insertion with a different physician, Valerie inserted my replacement IUD with no complications. There was no pain, she talked me through the entire process, even checked the placement via ultrasound to make sure it was placed correctly! She made me feel so comfortable and confident, I just love her! Wouldn't go anywhere else for my woman health care.
She delivered my daughter and has helped my wife tremendously through all of her female needs. Couldn't have asked for a better doctor.
Absolutely atrocious bedside manner!!! She threw a dramatic fit in the delivery room and stormed out when my first push wasn't effective (but rushed back in when he was out on the third push!) She looked at my slightly chubby, post-baby body and said, "This...is PATHETIC!" Very unprofessional, judgmental, controlling, dramatic and absolutely ruins the entire birth experience!
Dr. Knudsen nearly killed me 13 years ago when she performed a vaginal hysterectomy on me. I'm not exaggerating a bit. She botched my surgery, I had internal bleeding, was taken in for a second emergency surgery and had to have a blood transfusion. The second day after my surgery when she finally got around to seeing me in the hospital, she acted as though it was MY fault. As if this wasn't enough, this past May I found out that I still have my cervix! The reason I had the hysterectomy in the first place was because of my chances of cervical cancer! I filed a complaint with the Board of Medical Examiners but it did no good. There's no proof that she did me any harm since my pap smear was normal. I found out that there's been many, many other formal complaints about her. Why she's allowed to practice medicine is beyond me. Completely incompetent!
