Best place to find quality dog products in town. We feed our Chihuahuas fromm and they absolutely thrive on it. The houndry has every flavor they carry and many grain free options. The staff is so nice, my dog absolutely loves her. We will support these guys forever.
Our dog has a mystery illness that's causing her lymph nodes to be constantly inflamed, and vets can't figure out what is wrong. We were traveling when it first started happening, so we saw two different vets before returning home and also seeing our normal vet. She had several tests done, and we were able to rule out a lot of things, but never were able to diagnose her; even went through a round of antibiotics with no results.
I love this store so much that I left a review here and on their PA store!
After only 2 or so weeks on raw food, her lymph nodes actually started shrinking! They're still inflamed, but very slowly going down. Weirdly, she also had a callous on her elbow from laying on the concrete, and sometimes she would scrape it open, (yuck on the furniture)! After years of having this, it's actually healing, and is almost completely covered in fur again!
I had heard that feeding raw dog food was really good, and we felt like that was our last resort, so we went here, (to this store first, then hit their PA store as we headed to the East Coast) to get more info. Oh my gosh, these guys knew SO MUCH about dog health issues and had great recommendations!
Kat was so amazingly kind and helpful! Her suggestion to switch to Zignature potato-free food has magically solved all of our pit bull-hound mutt's yeast and allergy problems. She even gave us over 10 small free sample bags to test it out. We were also very impressed with her and the Holistic Houndry's approach to ethical sourcing... We were previously buying Taste of the Wild until they informed us that it was owned by Diamond dog foods. They found that this company does not really care about food quality or dog health and thus they do not carry it (or Blue Buffalo) in their store. She suggested a price-equivalent higher quality food (FROMM) for our other two dogs, who are allergy free. Overall, this was the best experience and we are dedicated Holistic Houndry customers now! Love love love this place and the women who work here! I have been feeding my furry family members with food purchased here since they first opened in Zelienople. It is a little more $ than other pet food... But you get what you pay for
