The owner, is a liar and a theif. He bought my mothers 20k diamond from someone who stole it, for 5k then the next day when the detectives came to ask if he had it he told them to leave and wouldn't speak to anyone until the trial, where he acted like he had never seen or heard of me before. Mind you this was a diamond he had approached for my mother, so he knew very well how much it was worth and what he was doing.
I asked them to solder my wedding ring set together, clean it, and re-rhodium plate it and they did a fantastic job and charged less than other jewelers had quoted. I'll definitely be back for any of my jewelry needs!
I was strapped for cash and went in to sell my late grandmother's ring. One gentleman gave me an offer and suggested I get a second opinion since that was the first place I had stopped. I did and after getting similar offers I went back to Adair since I felt the person I had worked with was straightforward and honest. That was when the offer dropped by nearly half. It was my own fault - I should have gotten the offer in writing. I was so niave. It was just massively disappointing that they didn't stand by their original offer. If you're going to sell - get something in writing!
