I bring my car in the next week for my dash lights, stereo lights, climate control lights to be fixed as well as my door locks to be fixed. They had the car the entire day but couldn't get to the door locks since someone else's vehicle had to be up and running by the next day. So I paid the $175 to change my light bulbs and scheduled another appointment for my door locks.

They had my car for over 6 hours. When Chris finally called, he informed me the parts are wrong and don't work with my car.. he did however fix the air vent and aligned the parts. At that point I had enough of dealing with this company. I told them I'll order my own parts and install everything myself.

5)As for you saying "all the leather conditioner in the world won't prevent a car from having electrical issues after almost 20 years" is a hilarious statement. You said your job is electrical diagnosis and repair. Which you failed to do on my car.

Response to Owner:

2)As an owner of multiple Saab cars and an active member on multiple Saab Forums a dim SID is NOT a common problem. I googled what you said in your response which leads to pixel problems on the SID. Which is different. *See photo of dim display in the daylight, very noticeable difference*

**Update Chris is extremely untrustworthy and NOT competent at his job. He told me I didn't have an electrical problem and my bulbs just needed to be changed on my instrument cluster. They are flickering and randomly not working. Charged me $175 and didn't even fix the problem. My information display which he took out to change bulbs is extremely faded so I have to purchase a new one thanks to him breaking it. This place is a scam. I have no idea how they are getting so many positive reviews. Must be friends and family.

3)Scratches on the wheel do NOT penetrate the leather. I had a gouge in the back of the wheel AFTER i picked up my car from you.

Great servuce! They fixed a trailer lights problem in 5 minutes, at no charge. They could have just as easily fleeced me for an hour if labor. I will be taking all of our trailers to these guys!

From messing up scheduling, showing up late, installing things incorrectly, and taking almost an entire business day to inform me the part is wrong.. I would look somewhere else to do business with.

Larry and Chris are excellent! Their troubleshooting and repair are first rate. Also I believe they don't gouge hard on shop rates like other places. If you're have electrical issues call them now.

**I later notice they installed part of my air vent incorrectly, the plastic pieces didn't align whatsoever. My information display was now randomly dim on the right hand side. Also, I now had a small tear in the leather on the back of the steering wheel (which I assume is from when Chris took the speedometer cluster out to change the bulbs).

I bring my car in today 7/6/17 for the final appointment. Their website states they open at 8:00 a.m. But they were 15 minutes late getting there so I had to wait. While giving my information to the gentleman at the front desk I informed him of the air vent which was installed improperly, my faded information display, and the tear in leather on the steering wheel. He proceeded to tell me that my car is pretty "old" and the tear is probably from old dry leather cracking. Informed him that the leather is in great condition in my 1999 Saab (it's regularly maintained with leather cleanser/conditioner). I was just letting him know that it doesn't matter the age of the car, just please be more cautious while working.

1)My updated response was barely a month after the problem was "fixed". See attached photo of climate control system with the 2nd row of buttons not working. You assured me it was NOT an electrical problem.

These guys are the best! We had an electrical short but couldn't find it. Tony (? Or maybe Chris? Not sure of his name) diagnosed it right away and knew exactly what the issue was. He didn't have time to work on our vehicle today but told us how and what needed to be done. He told us we could work on it behind his shop and he'd help us with it as we went along when he got a break. He gave us ideas of the best way and location to solve the problem we we're having (issue was under the vehicle). We we're able to work on it and are on the road again. I want to take him home and keep him! I highly recommend him and his shop. Very personable, honest and caring person. He's a karma magnet!

I am very disappointed with the service and professionalism at Auto Electric Services. I called and scheduled an appointment with them over a week in advance, requesting a specific day that I had off of work. I show up to my appointment to find that they did not have me any where in the schedule or any reference to my calling for an appointment and that Chris was on vacation. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled my appointment for the following week.

4)You stated it takes 40 minutes to put in the actuator. Yet you had my car for 6 hours and had the wrong part. That should have been noticed immediately within the first 40 minutes of installation.

Chris is very knowledgeable and freindly. Im happy to find a place I can trust to work on my car and recommend to friends.
