The employees at this location were clueless and bickering among each other, which meant I was stuck there for hours (just trying to buy a phone) uncomfortably listening to them fight. I also had to walk to an ATM because they couldn't figure out how to use the card reader.
The store in the mall is also very helpful, haven't been to the new store on north reserve yet!
When I signed up for T-Mobile, this was the only location in town. Their service was okay if you are in town, but not so great when you leave the town, especially going east. Granted they are improving the network as I'm writing this review and the price is comparably "cheap", but I have to say their regional manager is not up to par. T-Mobile is relatively new to Missoula, hence their employees are new and may not have as much experience as the seasoned ones in other big cities. However, the way the regional manager deals with his employees' mistakes is what surprises me. I came into the store to purchase an iPhone 7 earlier this year, they were running the BOGO deal at that time, so I asked the employee at this store if I could get the iPhone SE for free as they advertised, I also made clear that I wasn't going to add a line, the SE will be an upgrade to an existing line. The guy was new, so he turned around to ask another co-worker, she went into the room in the back then came back said yes, we could get it for free, she even gave me a small piece of paper with printed instructions on how to redeem this offer. I submitted the rebate, then it came back invalid (6 weeks later), saying I did not add a new line. I went back to that store, I couldn't find these particular two employees on that day, but I expressed my concern, the employee told me the regional manager would be at the southgate mall location the next day, they recommended me to talk to him. Which I did, the regional manager didn't so convinced at first, especially when I told him the guy's name who helped me on that day, he immediately said there was no way that guy helped me on that day, because he was working at Butte. I told him to check the sale record, which he did, sure enough, their record showed that person's name matches what I just told him. (Note to the regional manager, if you want to call me a liar, set your facts straight first.) Then he said he would check security camera (to see if I actually did it) and call his supervisor. I asked him how long would it take, he said at least a week, now it has been 2 months, I called the store last week to ask for him, he wasn't there, so I asked the store attendance to leave him a note to call me back, I still didn't get anything from him yet.
T-Mobile runs so many ads to show how great its network is, however, this is the service I received from your regional manager. SMH.
Roberto was awesome! Went above and beyond to solve my technical issue. Great customer service! Thanks!
One star for its relatively "cheap" price, one star for its improving network, no star for its regional manager.
I am addressing this store because this was where I bought my phone, but my comment is about T-Mobile in general. Get away from them. They will lie to you as many times as they need to have you buy. Afterwards, fight to get what they promised you. THEIR PHONES ARE LOCKED AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO UNLOCK THEM. I was never told the phone would be locked when I bought it. When I found out, I firstly was told I had to have spent at least $100 in service to be able to unlock the phone. Hoewever, when I had spent the money that did not become true. Now, after having spent that money, they are asking me for $45 more... They now promise (again), that after paying that I will have my phone unlocked. It seams pretty much extortion to me. They use very nice words to cover the worst customer service I have ever seen.
I received excellent customer service here and have also had to stop at the other T-Mobiles here in town. Their reps are all very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. If someone didn't have an answer for me, they reached out to someone who did and it always worked out. Most people writing bad reviews are taking their frustrations with their own miscommunications out on a store of honest reps.
