I have been coming to the Market on Front for years, but am finally fed up with the poor service I have received on countless occasions. I have a number of allergies and the Market on Front has some good options compared to many places in town, however I have never been to a restaurant that makes this many mistakes with their food. I have multiple times had coffees that I specifically requested almond milk and was given dairy milk, causing me to be very ill for days after. I have requested items without cheese or a different dressing, and they have come with both cheese and that dressing. The list goes on.
I think this is one of the best sandwich shops in Missoula. They have an amazing breakfast burrito as well as some great deli salads. The atmosphere is great. Biggest downside is that they have changed their menu (The reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5). I feel their original sandwich menu was better. Bring back the Italian sandwich from your first menu and I would come in more often!
What a great addition to the growing Missoula downtown food little life. The service is friendly and helpful, and he good is wonderful. If you are looking for a fast delicious place to sit with friends or stop at when you are in the go, The Front Street Market is the stop for you!
If you are looking for a break from the typical fast food options this is a good place to check out. Food is good and adequate potions. You won't regret the visit.
At least 2/3 of my experiences here end up like this, but I have just continued to give Market on Front a shot hoping it was a fluke. I have a lot of patience with restaurants as I have worked in multiple, so I keep hoping that these are accidents and that they won't happen again. Unfortunately, they just continue to prove that they do.
They know coffee. They use Hunter Bay beans. I've been coming here since soon after they opened in 2013, and have yet to be disappointed by a latte or breve I've had.
The foodie grocery aspect is the part I use the least, as all of the items are sky-high in price. It's a unique assortment, with an emphasis on 'Made In Montana' items. If you like that sort of thing, you'll be hard pressed to find a more complete selection in western Montana.
The deli/bistro aspect is especially good for those with food allergies or dietary restrictions; they have a great selection of gluten-free and vegan items, and can tell you the ingredients in pretty much everything they make in-house. The breakfast burrito is one of the best values in town.
